Borderline Basic Services Explained

At Borderline, our world revolves around providing the best warehousing and fulfillment services we can to our clients. But we’ll be honest: sometimes we get a little caught up in the love of what we do!

When you’ve been in the same business as long as we have, you can find yourself using jargon without giving it another thought. Around here we use some terms that are specific to our industry. While these phrases are second nature to the Borderline team, it occurred to us that they may not mean the same to those who are less familiar with our industry - and we don’t want that!

We’d like to pick apart (pun intended!) our “pick and pack” service and why we confidently offer this service to our clients. In a world that’s run by e-commerce, pick and pack fulfillment is a popular method for shipping orders. But what exactly does it mean to “pick and pack” an order?

Pick and pack fulfillment is used when our clients need to ship items directly to their individual customers. Unlike large bulk orders sent to retailers, this fulfillment method is used for smaller orders that can involve hundreds of items to “pick” from.

Our warehouse will store entire cases of products for our clients. Employees will then pick individual items from these cases to complete unique orders to customers. Borderline keeps track of all the orders in real-time so our clients know exactly how much of their products we have in stock. This helps our clients meet their market demand and avoid costly over-investment.

Pick and pack fulfillment is an efficient method for getting orders out quickly to our clients’ customers. We store all the products at our 46,000 square foot warehouse so we can process orders immediately without having to travel to different storage facilities. The end result is that our clients’ customers are satisfied with their orders and receive them on time. Happy customers mean happy clients and that means a happy Borderline team!

Our clients can be confident that we’ll deliver when it comes to fulfilling their orders. We work with major retailers including Home Depot and Walmart and our strong relationships with these e-commerce giants is due in part to our ability to complete high volumes of orders. These orders require impeccable organization and coordination for them to be filled promptly and without errors. We deal with hundreds of product lines that involve tracking numerous parts and we do it well.

Outsourcing your fulfillment needs can be a wise business choice that helps to improve your efficiency and increase your sales. Our expertise in order fulfillment will give you the peace of mind that your products are cared for every step of the way - from our warehouse to your customer’s door.

If your business is looking for fulfillment services, we hope you’ll consider working with Borderline Systems. We will assess the specific needs of your company to determine the best, cost-effective approach to complete your orders. Ultimately it means you can focus on your orders and leave the shipping to us!
